Week 2 MTC Mexico

     Que ondaaa. No puedo creer que ya han pasado dos semanas desde que empezó mi misión. El tiempo si que ha estado volando ultimamente. En realidad la semana empezó el jueves cuando llegue al CCM. El vuelo estuvo un poco duro sin cel, música o juegos, pero sobrevivimos. He sentido el Espiritu muy bonito desde que llegué. Cada día ha estado lleno de experiencias Espirituales. Mis compañeros y yo nos llevamos super bien, los 4 somos inseparables. El domingo decidimos meternos al coro para pasar tiempo, y si fue une experiencia bastante bonita. Escuchar a 200 personas cantar en vivo si que es otra cosa. En la noche tuvimos un devocional en el que escuchamos un discurso del Elder Holland, y sí le tocó el corazón a todos. Después de su discurso, todos estaban tan conmovidos que salimos del auditorio sin hacer ni un solo ruido. Después, todos se reunieron afuera en un circulo para cantar. En total creo que éramos como 200 misioneros cantando de alegria juntos. Eso definitivamente fue la mejor experiencia de la semana. Creo que he tenido mas experiencias Espirituales esta semana que en todo el año combinado. Agradezco a Dios por esta vida tan hermosa que me ha regalado. También he notado que hay muchos más Americanos que Mexicanos. Pensé que iba a ver un número similar de Mexicanos y Americanos antes de llegar aquí, pero ahora me doy cuenta que por cada 10 Americanos hay un Mexicano. Se emocionan muchísimo al ver un grupo de Mexicanos porque quieren practicar su Español. Lo único malo es que son gigantes y luego es imposible jugar deportes con ellos. Con razón México no ha ganado un mundial. 

Pensamiento Espiritual: Alma 37:6

"...Mas he aquí, te digo que por medio de cosas pequeñas y sencillas se realizan grandes cosas; y en muchos casos, los pequeños medios confunden a los sabios." Yo testifico que durante mi misión, han sido las cosas pequeñas como la oración, leer las escrituras y guardar los mandamientos que me han ayudado a sentir el Espíritu. Asegúrense de hacer las cosas pequeñas, porque son las que tienen el impacto mas grandes en nuestras vidas diarias.

     What's uppp everyone. I can't believe it's been two weeks since I started my mission. Time has really flown lately. The week started off on Thursday when I arrived at the MTC.  The flight super boring without a cell phone, music or games, but somehow I survived.  I've felt the Spirit so strongly since I arrived.  Every day has been full of Spiritual experiences.  My companions and I get along very well, the 4 of us are inseparable. On Sunday we decided to join the choir to kill some time, and it was a really awesome experience.  Hearing 200 people sing live is something else. In the evening we had a devotional in which we heard a talk by Elder Holland, and touched everyone's hearts.  After his speech, everyone was so moved that we left the auditorium without making a single noise.  Afterwards, everyone gathered outside in a circle to sing.  In total I think we were about 200 missionaries singing with joy together. That was definitely the best experience of the week. I think I have had more Spiritual experiences this week than in the entire year combined. I thank God for this beautiful life that he has given me. I have also noticed that there are many more Americans than Mexicans. I thought I was going to see a similar number of Mexicans and Americans before I got here, but now I realize that for every 10 Americans there is one Mexican. They get very excited when they see a group of Mexicans because they want to practice their Spanish. The only bad thing is that they are giants and then it is impossible to play sports with them.  No wonder Mexico hasn't won a World Cup. 

Spiritual Thought: Alma 37:6

"...But behold, I tell you that through small and simple things great things are accomplished; and in many cases, small means confuse the wise."  I testify that during my mission, it has been the little things like prayer, reading the scriptures, and keeping the commandments that have helped me feel the Spirit. Make sure you do the small things, because they are the ones that have the biggest impact on our daily lives.
