Week 11 “La Luz de Cristo”

     Qué rollooo mis polloos. Esta semana tuvimos mucho éxito en el área. Mi compañero y yo logramos poner 4 fechas bautismales lo cual siempre está chido. No sé como lo logramos porque tuvimos intercambios 3 días seguidos, así que casi no estuvimos en nuestra casa o área. Digamos que los intercambios nos dieron la gran oportunidad de aprender mucho sobre paciencia jaja. Se supone que esta semana ibamos a ir a Puebla para un evento con el 70 del área, pero nuestro querido presi se enfermó, así que se pospuso. El problema fue que como no nos dijeron hasta un día antes que ya no íbamos a ir a Puebla, nosotros ya habíamos programado nuestros horarios para tenerlos vacíos esos 2 días, así que estuvo complicado encontrar chamba. 

     Esta semana fue dominada por las entrevistas con el presidente. Básicamente hay muchas cosas dentro de nuestro distrito que necesitan ser resueltas, y a mí me tocó la suerte de ser el compa del líder de distrito, así que básicamente sus problemas son mis problemas jaja. Lo único que puedo decir es que cuando tenemos cualquier duda o problema, no hay nadie mejor a quien preguntar y acudir que a Dios mismo. Él aconseja con sabiduría, con justicia y con gran misericordia sobre todas sus obras. La oración literalmente es gratis, ¿así que por qué no aprovechar? También sé que la oración puede ayudar a los demás, ¡así que no debemos ser tacaños con ellas! Si quieren orar por nuestra gente en enseñanza, no renegaría

     Los quiero mucho como un panuchooooo. Siempre están en mi mente. Y FELIZ DÍAAAA DE INDEPENDENCIA, Viva México. Definitivamente no vamos a distraernos hoy.

Pensamiento Espiritual: Esta es la primera vez que hablo sobre este tema públicamente. Sinceramente me da mucho miedo y pena hablar sobre esto, pero es parte de quien soy, o fui, y es importante. La semana pasada, cumplí un año de sobriedad. Esa decisión lo cambio todo para mí. Solía pensar que era feliz, hasta que cavé un hoyo tan profundo para mí que ya no podía ver la luz. Literalmente no puedo, ni quiero, imaginar mi vida sin este evangelio. Sé que a veces los placeres instantáneos de este mundo parecen como lo máximo, pero les prometo que nada compara a la luz de Cristo. Si crees que estoy equivocado, es porque no has probado la verdadera luz de Cristo. "¿Qué aprovechará al hombre si ganare todo el mundo y perdiere su alma?" El día que muramos, no nos vamos a llevar ni una de las vanidades de este mundo con nosotros, excepto nuestros corazones y almas, así que procuren mantenerlos limpios espiritualmente, y físicamente. Gracias a la expiación de Jesucristo puedo llegar a ser limpio, y que gozoso es ser limpio, con una concienia limpia. Puedo ser un mejor hijo, hermano, amigo, padre y esposo, gracias a Jesucristo. Estoy eternamente en su deuda. Lo amo con todo mi corazón.

     Good morning america. This week we had a lot of success in the area. My comp and I managed to set 4 baptismal dates which is always cool. I don't know how we did it because we had intercambios 3 days in a row, so we were hardly in our house or area. Let's just say that the intercambios gave me a lot of opportunities to learn a lot about patience haha. This week we were supposed to go to Puebla for an event with the 70 of our area, but our dear president got sick, so it got postponed. The problem was that since they didn't tell us until the day before that we weren't going to go to Puebla anymore, we had already set up our schedules to be empty those 2 days, so it was difficult to find any work to do.            This week was dominated by the interviews with the president. Basically there are a lot of things within our district that need to be resolved, and I'm just so lucky enough to be the district leader's comp, so basically his problems are my problems haha. The only thing I can say is that if we have any doubt or problem, there is no one better to ask and turn to than God himself. He advises with wisdom, justice, and great mercy on all his works. Prayer is literally free, so why not take advantage? I also know that prayer can help others, so don't be stingy with your prayers! If you want to pray for our people in teaching, I would not mind. I love you all like a panuchooooo (mexican reference). You are always on my mind. And HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, Viva Mexico We are definitely not going to be distracted today.

Spiritual Thought: This is the first time I've ever addressed this publically. I am honestly very scared and ashamed to talk about this topic, but it is part of who I am, or was, and it is important. Last week, I reached one year of sobriety. That decision changed everything for me. I used to think I was happy, until I dug a hole so deep for myself that I could no longer see the light. I literally cannot, nor do I want to, imagine my life without this gospel. I know that sometimes the instant pleasures of this world seem like the best, but I promise you that nothing compares to the light of Christ. If you think I'm wrong, it's because you haven't tasted the true light of Christ. "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" The day we die, we are not going to take any of the vanities of this world with us, except our hearts and souls, so try to keep them spiritually, and physically clean. Thanks to the atonement of Jesus Christ I can become clean, and how joyful it is to be clean, with a clean conscience. I can be a better son, brother, friend, father, and husband, thanks to Jesus Christ. I am eternally in his debt. I love him with all my heart.
