Week 17 “The Power Of The Priesthood”

     Estupendos días a todosss. Espero que estén bien; todo está bien por acá. Mi compañero y yo todavía nos estamos enfocando en encontrar personas a quienes podemos enseñar y van a progresar. Como zona teníamos la meta de encontrar a 200 personas nuevas este mes, y al inicio de esta semana nos faltaban 71. Nuestros líderes de zona nos dijeron que cada vez que encontremos a una persona nueva, deberíamos mandarlo a nuestro group chat de zona para motivarnos. Creo que funcionó porque encontramos cerca a 100 personas esta semana jaja. Algo en lo que nos estamos enfocando ahora es en el sacerdocio. Esta semana tuvimos cambios de liderazgo dentro de la presidencia de la rama, y uno de nuestros misioneros (el de matrimonio, no un chamaco) tuvo que ser llamado a ser consejero porque literalmente no tenemos a nadie más. De un lado bueno, el Hno. Josué, quien es 1 de los 4 miembros en nuestra área fue llamado a ser nuestro ¡nuevo Presidente! Él realmente tiene el fuego y la pasión por ayudar a los misioneros, y sé que este era el cambio que la rama necesitaba. 

     En fin, estos cambios me han puesto mucho a pensar en la importancia del sacerdocio, y como a veces lo podemos dar por sentado. Vivimos en una época en la que tenemos el poder y la autoridad para dar y recibir bendiciones, realizar ordenanzas sagradas, y hacer convenios con Dios. Ese es un PRIVILEGIO que no ha estado en la tierra ¡desde la dispensación de Jesucristo! ¡Cuan maravilloso en eso! Demasiadas personas no tienen acceso a este poder tan sagrado del Señor. A todos los hombres de la iglesia "Pónganse las freaking pilas" porque hay demasiadas personas que dependen de ustedes y que necesitan acceso al divino sacerdocio. Desafortunadamente aquí es muy difícil conseguir la atención de un hermano si uno no habla de pisto o fútbol (coincidentalmente nos llevamos muy bien).

     Los quiero muchoooo, nos vemos en la semana 18. Deséenme suerte aquí en Zacatlán de las manzanas (matanzas). 

Pensamiento Espiritual: Alma 32:17-18. "Sí, hay muchos que dicen: Si nos muestras una señal del cielo, de seguro luego sabremos, y entonces creeremos. Ahora yo os pregunto: ¿Es fe esto? He aquí, os digo que no; porque si un hombre sabe una cosa, no tiene necesidad de creer, porque lo sabe."

Deja de esperar hasta que ocurra un milagro para creer en Dios.

     Stupendous morning! Hope you are doing well; all is well here. My comp and I are still focusing on finding people who we can teach and who will progress. As a zone we had a goal of finding 200 new people this month, and at the beginning of this week we were short 71. Our zone leaders told us that every time we find a new person, we should send it to our zone groupchat to motivate ourselves. I think it worked because we found close to 100 people this week haha. Something we are focusing on right now is the priesthood. This week we had leadership changes within the branch presidency, and one of our missionaries (the senior one, not a kid) had to be called to be a counselor because we literally have no one else. On the bright side, Hermano Josué, who is 1 of 4 members in our area was called to be our new President!  He really has the fire and passion to help the missionaries, and I know this was the change the branch needed. 

      Anyway, these changes have made me think a lot about the importance of the priesthood, and how sometimes we can take it for granted. We live in a time where we have the power and authority to give and receive blessings, perform sacred ordinances, and make covenants with God. That is a PRIVILEGE that has not been on earth since the dispensation of Jesus Christ! How wonderful in that! Too many people do not have access to this most sacred power of the Lord. To all the men of the church "jit gotta lock in" because there are too many people who depend on you and who need access to the divine priesthood. Unfortunately here it is very difficult to get an hermanos attention if you do not talk about soccer or beer (coincidentally we get along very well).

Spiritual Thought: Alma 32:17-18. "Yea, there are many that say, If thou will show us a sign from heaven, then surely we shall know, and then we shall believe. Now I ask you, Is this faith? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for if a man knoweth a thing, he needeth not believe, because he knoweth it."

Stop waiting for a miracle to happen to believe in God.
