Week 18 “Milagro Time”

     Buenassss a todoss. Mucha fiesta por acá con tanto día festivo jaja. El lunes nos tuvimos que ir a Puebla para una reunión de entrenadores y el desayuno que nos dieron hizo que todo el viaje valiera la pena jaja. La neta sí aprendí mucho de los otros misioneros. Tuvimos la oportunidad de entrar al templo antes de nuestra reunión, y sí que eso es algo que nunca basta. No hay ningún otro lugar que se compare al templo. Realmente es donde más cerca nos podemos sentir al Padre, y hay una razón por la que nuestro Presidente Nelson hace tanto hincapié en asistir el templo a menudo. Definitivamente necesitaba toda la ayuda del Señor que podía porque nombreee esos autobuses de Puebla están bien sanguinarios. Nada que ver con dulce Zacatlán jaja. Mi compa y yo estuvimos en Puebla por 3 días porque tuvimos que viajar temprano porque estamos muy lejos de las oficinas, y porque mi compa tuvo que ir a migración. Me tocó hacer intercambios con los AP's en su área y sentí que aprendí mucho de ellos. Apenas llevan 4 semanas en su área y fijaron 10 fechas. Freaking maquinotas. 

     En fin, cuando por fin regresamos a Zacatlán miércoles en la noche, nos pusimos directo a trabajar. Esta semana nos enfocamos mucho en buscar personas que realmente sentimos que van a progresar. Una cosa que nos compartieron los AP's es que cuando ellos contactan, siempre hacen una oración para ver si la persona realmente va a progresar. Mi compañero y yo nos hemos enfocado  mucho en la calidad de nuestras lecciones esta semana y asegurarnos que cada interacción que tengamos con los demás cumpla con nuestro propósito de invitar a las personas a venir a Cristo. Creo que en esta semana solo contactamos por 1 hora en total, y además solo tuvimos 4 días para trabajar, pero de cualquier manera encontramos a 13 personas a través de trabajar con nuestros amigos en enseñanza y los miembros. Nuestros recién conversos, Pedro y Juana, trajeron a dos de sus familiares a la iglesia este domingo, y mi compañero y yo los fuimos a visitar después de la iglesia. Ya nos dijeron que se quieren bautizar, ahora ¡solo es cuestión de prepararlos! 

     Aunque esta semana no tuvimos mucho tiempo para trabajar, estoy feliz del trabajo que logramos. Domingo en la noche tuvimos una llamada de zona para repasar nuestras metas del mes de Octubre, y como una zona logramos ¡cero bautismos! El trabajo aquí en las ramas es difícil pero lo amo. Arriba la sierra norte jaja. Sé que suena horrible, pero les prometo que no somos fritos. El mes de Septiembre fuimos la zona con más bautismos, y en el mes de Octubre estuvimos plantando un montón de semillas en los corazones de la gente, y ahora sé que este mes de Noviembre vamos a ver muchos milagros.

Pensamiento Espiritual: No tengo una escritura esta semana. Dios te ama. Él realmente te conoce personalmente. Él realmente sufrió por ti y por mí. Conoce nuestros deseos, nuestros sueños, nuestras metas y nuestros pensamientos. Él está del otro lado de la puerta, esperando a que le dejemos pasar. ¿Cuanto tiempo más lo vas a hacer esperar afuera hasta que decidas abrir la puerta?

English:

     Hi. Lots of parties here with so many holidays haha. On Monday we had to go to Puebla for a trainers meeting and the breakfast they gave us made the whole trip worth it haha. I really did learn a lot from the other missionaries. We had the opportunity to go into the temple before our meeting, and that is something that is never enough. There is no other place that compares to the temple. It is really where we can feel closest to the God, and there is a reason why our President Nelson puts so much emphasis on attending the temple often. I definitely needed all the help from the Lord that I could get because those buses in Puebla are bloodthirstt. Nothing like with my beloved sweet Zacatlán haha. My comp and I were in Puebla for 3 days because we had to travel early because we are very far from the offices, and because my comp had to go to immigration. I got to do exchanges with the AP's in their area and I felt that I learned a lot from them.  They've only been in their area for 4 weeks and they've set 10 dates. Freaking machines. 

      Anyway, when we finally got back to Zacatlán on Wednesday night, we got right to work. This week we focused a lot on finding people that we really feel are going to make progress. One thing the AP's shared with us is that when they contact, they always say a prayer to see if the person is really going to make progress. My comp and I have been focusing a lot on the quality of our lessons this week and making sure that every interaction we have with others fulfills our purpose of inviting people to come to Christ. I think we only contacted for 1 hour total this week, and we only had 4 days to work, but we still found 13 people through working with our friends in teaching and the members. Our new converts Pedro and Juana brought two of their family members to church this Sunday, and my comp and I went to visit them after church. They already told us that they want to be baptized, now it's just a matter of preparing them! 

      Even though we didn't have much time to work this week, I'm happy with the work we accomplished. Sunday night we had a zone call to go over our goals for the month of October, and as a zone we accomplished zero baptisms! The work out here is hard but I love it haha. Long live the sierra norte. I know it sounds horrible, but I promise you that we're not frito. In September we were the zone with the most baptisms, and in the month of October we were planting a lot of seeds in people's hearts, and now I know that this month of November we're going to see a lot of miracles.

Spiritual Thought: I don't have a scripture this week. God loves you. He really knows you personally. He really suffered for you and me. He knows our desires, our dreams, our goals, and our thoughts. He's on the other side of the door, waiting for us to let Him in.  How much longer are you going to make him wait outside until you decide to open the door?
