Week 19 “Pray In Your Heart And Service With Love”

     Qué transaaa. La verdad es que esta semana se sintió muy rápida y lenta a la vez. La semana empezó un poco rara cuando uno de los élderes en nuestro distrito nos dijo que iba a tener cambios de emergencia y que ya no iba a estar en Zacatlán. Se nos hizo muy raro a todos, y luego nos dimos cuenta de que literalmente la mitad de la misión tuvo cambios de emergencia. Siempre lo he dicho y siempre lo diré, el Presidente Tilley es un enigma. Nadie entiende porque hace las cosas que hace, pero supongo que así es como funciona la revelación jaja. Esta semana hubo días en los que por alguna razón tenía cero motivación para trabajar, y cuando enseñaba no sentía el Espíritu. En esas situaciones he aprendido a hacer una oración en mi corazón, donde sea que esté, para pedirle a Dios por ayuda. Eso es algo que aprendí aquí en la misión, porque aunque no podemos literalmente estar pensando en Dios 24/7, siempre podemos hacer una oración en nuestros corazones, y Él nos escuchará. 

     También tuvimos la oportunidad de tener muchas actividades de servicio esta semana. A mí me encantan porque se siente lindo servir, es una buena manera de ayudar a la comunidad, y además es diferente al trabajo que típicamente hacemos. La actividad de servicio más divertida esta semana fue cuando fuimos al taller de un herrero. Yo le dije de broma (pero si él jalaba entonces no era broma) que si nos enseñaba a hacer espadas, y el bro nos dijo que sí jaja. Hicimos las espadas y luego se le ocurre al hno decirnos que no las podemos dejar ahí, y como andábamos lejos de casa caminamos el resto del día con nuestras espadas en la mano jaja. Por alguna razón todos estaban aceptando un libro de mormón ese día. El resto de la semana fue muy bien, tuvimos una actividad en la rama y realmente sentí que ya conecté muy bien con los miembros aquí. El otro día me di cuenta que puedo ver mis solicitudes de amistad por messanger y vi que la mitad de la rama ya me estaba siguiendo jaja. Realmente amo a los miembros de Zacatlán y toda la ciudad, va a hacer falta regresar en unos 20 añitos. 

     Milagros: La verdad es que esta semana tuvimos unos milagros tan grandes que tengo que dedicar una sección entera para explicarlos. Primero, logramos fijar 2 fechas con una familia en un pueblito llamado Atzingo. El día en que fijamos las fechas, yo me sentía muy enfermo y le dije a mi compa que él practicara liderando una lección. Lo hizo, y al final de la lección el Espíritu estaba ahí con nosotros, y las palabras empezaron a derramarse de nuestras bocas y no sé cómo pero ¡fijamos fechas con los dos! No pudieron asistir la iglesia esta semana pero ojalá para la próxima. 

     El segundo milagro es que estábamos con un hermano llamado Miguel Angel. Él es un miembro inactivo, pero a través de muchas visitas lo vemos mucho más animado y ha estado asistiendo mucho últimamente. Al hablar con él, nos dimos cuenta que él nunca recibió el sacerdocio,así que hablamos con él y ya está trabajando con el Presidente para ¡tomar los pasos necesarios! El sacerdocio es una cosa que nuestra rama necesita desesperadamente, entonces esto realmente fue un milagro para nosotros.

      El tercer y último milagro es de ¡nuestra familia de 6! (No tengo idea cual es su apellido entonces los llamo la familia de 6). Encontramos a esta familia hace unas semanas y en realidad todos ellos son escogidos. Desde que los conocimos los hemos visto con mucho interés, pero algo les impedía asistir la iglesia. Nos sentimos inspirados en invitar a nuestro Presidente de Rama a una de nuestras lecciones, y resultó ser que era exactamente lo que necesitaban. Después de esa lección, hablamos con los consejeros de la rama y ¡logramos que la familia asistiera la iglesia este domingo! Estamos demasiados felices y vamos a chambear bien duros con ellos.

     Sé que este correo fue demasiado largo jaja entonces contaré los milagros como los pensamientos espirituales. Los amo mucho, y nos vemos el próximo lunes.

     Wasuppp everyone. The truth is that this week felt very fast and slow at the same time. The week started off a little weird when one of the elders in our district told us that he was going to have emergency changes and that he was no longer going to be in Zacatlán. It felt very strange to all of us, and then we realized that literally half of the mission had emergency changes. I have always said it and I will always say it, President Tilley is an enigma. No one understands why he does the things he does, but I guess that is how revelation works haha. This week there were days when for some reason I had zero motivation to work, and when I was teaching I did not feel the Spirit. In those situations I have learned to say a prayer in my heart, wherever I am, to ask God for help. That is something I learned here on the mission, because although we cannot literally be thinking about God 24/7, we can always say a prayer in our hearts, and He will hear us. 

    We also had the opportunity to have many service activities this week. I love them because it feels good to serve, it's a good way to help the community, and it's different from the work we typically do. The most fun service activity this week was when we went to a blacksmith's shop. I jokingly asked him (but if he was down then it wasn't a joke) if he could teach us how to make swords, and bro said yes haha. We made the swords and then he told us that we cant leave them there, and since we were far from home we walked the rest of the day with our swords in our hands haha. For some reason everyone was accepting a book of Mormon that day. The rest of the week went really well, we had an activity in the branch and I really felt like I connected really well with the members here. The other day I realized that I can see my friend requests on messenger and I saw that half of the branch was already following me haha. I really love the members of Zacatlán and the whole city, Imma need to come back in about 20 years. 

      Miracles: The truth is that this week we had some miracles so great that I have to dedicate a whole section to explain them. First, we were able to set up 2 dates with a family in a small town called Atzingo. The day we set the dates, I was feeling very sick and I told my compa to practice leading a lesson. He did, and at the end of the lesson the Spirit was there with us, and the words began to pour out of our mouths and I don't know how but we set up dates with both of them! They couldn't attend church this week but hopefully next week. 

      The second miracle is that we were with a Brother named Miguel Angel. He is an inactive member, but through many visits we see him much more encouraged and he has been attending a lot lately. When talking to him, we realized that he never received the priesthood, so we talked to him and he is already working with the President to take the necessary steps!  Priesthood is something our branch desperately needs, so this was truly a miracle for us.

      The third and final miracle is from our family of 6! (I have no idea what their last name is so I'm calling them the family of 6). We found this family a few weeks ago and they are actually all chosen. We've been looking forward to them ever since we met them, but something kept them from attending church. We felt inspired to invite our Branch President to one of our lessons, and it turned out to be exactly what they needed. After that lesson, we talked to the branch counselors and got the family to attend church this Sunday! We are so happy and are going to work really hard with them.

      I know this email was too long haha ​​so I'll count the miracles as spiritual thoughts. I love you all so much, and I'll see you next Monday.
