Week 22: “A Donde Me Mandes Iré Señor” New Area

Hola. Por fin llegaron los cambios, y otra vez me tocó empacar mis cosas y salir de mi área. Fue un poco triste, porque aunque al principio estaba renegando por ir a esa área, al final si me llegué a encariñar. Jicolapa realmente es la tierra de los escogidos, pero wueno, no hay porque agüitarse mucho porque en realidad no estoy para nada lejos. Mi nueva área es Zacatlán 1, entonces ahora si completé la trilogía jaja. Empecé mi misión en Zacatlán 4, luego me cambiaron pal 3, y ahora estoy en el 1. Nomás me falta el 2, pero esa es el área de las hermanas, así que por el momento estoy satisfecho. Mi nuevo compa es el poderoso Élder Jessop, y soy su tercer entrenador en dos cambios jaja. Tecnicamente sigue en entrenamiento, así que como ya tiene papá y mamá decidí ser su padrino. Sinceramente los primeros días han sido difíciles, porque no me sé el área para nada, y a contraste a mi área antigua, aquí no tenemos muchas personas progresando. Sin embargo, cuando una puerta cierra, otra se abre así que estoy emocionado por este nuevo desafío. Lo que está bien gacho son los cerros. Nombreee, ya me había desacostumbrado y ahora que estoy aquí otra vez ha sido bien agotador.

Esta semana tuvimos un milagro! Lo sé lo sé, debido a una falta de comunicación con la prensa no hubo un video de milagro time, pero se los cuento. Cuando llegué a Zacatlán en Julio, conocimos una hna que ha estado en enseñanza por 4 años, pero nunca había aceptado fecha. Mi compa y yo logramos poner fecha con ella, pero hasta diciembre. Pues, todos esos meses y ambos de nosotros seguimos aquí. La hna nunca asistió la iglesia, hasta ¡el día de ayer! Fue genial verla ahí porque le dijimos que si no asistía este domingo ibamos a tener que cambiar su fecha, y con la ayuda de Dios ella logró conseguir un nuevo trabajo que le permite ir a la iglesia, ¡justo a tiempo! Oren mucho por ella jaja. Estos últimos días han sido abrumadores, por todos los cambios que hemos tenido y por todas las responsabilidades nuevas, pero como siempre estoy feliz por esta oportunidad que Dios me ha dado de servir.

Hello. Transfers finally came, and once again I had to pack my things and leave my area. It was kinda sad, because although at first I didn't want to go to that area, in the end I ended up loving it. Jicolapa really is the promised land, but well, I can't get too sad because I am not far away at all. My new area is Zacatlán 1, so now I have completed the trilogy haha. I started my mission in Zacatlán 4, then they moved me to 3, and now I am in 1. I only need 2, but that is the sisters' area so for now I am satisfied. My new como is the powerful Elder Jessop, and I am his third trainer in two transfers haha. Technically he is still in training, so since he already has a father and mother I decided to be his godfather. Honestly, the first few days have been difficult, because I don't know the area at all, and unlike my old area, we don't have many people progressing here. However, when one door closes, another one opens so I am excited for this new challenge. What is really bad are the hills. Man, I had already gotten used to flat ground and now that I am here again it's been so exhausting.

This week we had a miracle! I know, I know, due to a lack of communication with the press there was no video of milagro time, but I will tell you about it. When I arrived in Zacatlán in July, we met a sister who has been teaching for 4 years, but she had never agreed to a date. My comp and I managed to set a date with her, but not until December. All those months and both of us are still here. The sister never attended church, until yesterday! It was great to see her there because we told her that if she did not attend this Sunday we were going to have to change her date, and with God's help she managed to get a new job that allows her to go to church, just in time! Pray a lot for her haha. These last few days have been overwhelming, because of all the changes we've had and all the new responsibilities, but as always I'm happy for this opportunity that God has given me to serve.
