Week 24 “No Se Trata De Ti”

     Qué Pachuca por Tolucaa. La semana pasada escribí de muchas cosas tristes, pero esta semana fue muy diferente. Sinceramente, todavía no hemos tenido tanto éxito como nos gustaría. Esta área es muy difícil, aquí la gente no nos quiere escuchar mucho, pero la gran diferencia entre esta semana y la pasada se puede resumir en una palabra. MENTALIDAD. Esta semana, contactamos más que en cualquier otra en toda mi misión. Pasé demasiado tiempo sintiendome mal por mí mismo, por lo difícil que está el área, pero en realidad, la única manera que las cosas van a cambiar aquí es a través del trabajo. Mi maestra de seminario que mandó un correo diciendo algo muy cierto "No se trata de ti Élder!" (Hna Cori si está leyendo esto muchas gracias la quiero mucho!). Es muy verdadero. El Señor no nos mandó aquí de vacaciones. La misión is difícil. La vida es difícil. Pero cuando somos enfrentados con una situación complicada, siempre es un momento para crecer y ejercer la fe. Sí que hemos tenido que ejercer la fe últimamente, pero sabemos que estamos aquí por una razón.

     El 12 de Diciembre, tuvimos el bautismo de la Hna María Guadalupe! Ella ha estado en enseñanza por 5 años, y por fin decidió tomar este paso tan importante en su vida. Como no teniamos sacerdocio, me tocó dirigir el programa así que fui obispo por la noche jaja. Los primeros élderes que la contactaron, en el 2019, probablemente no tienen ni la menor idea de su bautismo. Sin embargo, su esfuerzo no fue en vano. Gracias a ellos, y las semillas que ellos plantaron, una alma más regresó a la vía del Señor. Ningún esfuerzo que es para Él es malgastado.

Sé que la obra es difícil, especialmente en estas temporadas navideñas, pero tengo la firme fe de que estamos aquí por alguna razón. Algo hay aquí que tenemos que hacer, o hallar, y chambearemos incansablemente hasta el último segundo.

     Les quiero mucho a todosss. No tengo idea de cuando empieza la hanukka este año, pero si ya va por empezar entonces feliz hanukka a mis compas judios (evan). Nos vemos en una semana.

     Hello. Last week I wrote about a lot of sad things, but this week was very different. Honestly, we still haven't had as much success as we would like. This area is very difficult, people don't want to listen to us much here, but the big difference between this week and last week can be summed up in one word. MENTALITY. This week, we contacted more than any other week in my entire mission. I spent too much time feeling bad about myself, about how difficult the area is, but really, the only way things are going to change here is through work. My seminary teacher sent an email saying something very true "It's not about you Elder!" (Sister Cori if you're reading this thank you so much I love you very much!). It's so true. The Lord didn't send us here on vacation. The mission is hard. Life is hard. But when we are faced with a difficult situation, it's always a time to grow and exercise faith. We've had to exercise faith lately, but we know we're here for a reason.

     On December 12th, we had the baptism of Maria Guadalupe! She has been teaching for 5 years, and finally decided to take this very important step in her life. Since we didn't have priesthood, I had to lead the program, so I was bishop for the night haha. The first elders who contacted her, in 2019, probably don't have the slightest idea of ​​her baptism. However, their effort was not in vain. Thanks to them, and the seeds they planted, one more soul returned to the path of the Lord. No effort that is for Him is wasted. I know that the work is difficult, especially during these Christmas seasons, but I have the firm faith that we are here for a reason. There is something here that we have to do, or find, and we will work tirelessly until the last second.
