Week 28 “El Número Es Pequeño, El Mensaje Es Inmenso”

     ¿Qué rollito, mis pollitos? Espero que cada uno de ustedes esté bien, sepan que siempre estoy pensando en ustedes, y SÍ LEO Y APRECIO SUS MENSAJES aunque tal vez a veces no pueda responder😃La verdad, yo estoy...GENIAL. Fue triste irme de Zacatlán, especialmente despues de 6 meses, pero sinceramente fue un cambio que ya hacía falta. Mi nueva área se llama Nativitas, en el estado de Tlaxcala, aunque en realidad no hace sentido. El área se llama Nativitas porque es el pueblo más grande por aquí, pero la casa de oración, el obispo y nosotros vivimos en San José Atoyatenco. Desafortunadamente, se cumplió mi peor pesadilla de vivir en Tlaxcala, pero por lo menos solo estamos como a 20 minutos de Puebla caminando. Mi nueva área es, ESCOGIDA. El objetivo es simple, tener 4 poseedores del sacerdocio y 30 miembros para establecer una rama. He podido ver la mano del Señor tanto en mi vida desde que llegué aquí. Este cambio a reavivado un fuego dentro de mí que sinceramente estaba brillando un poco menos. Hemos podido ver tantos milagros en los pocos días que hemos estado aquí y sé que todavía faltan.

     La clave para que todo esto funcione es el Obispo Martínez. Este pueblo es muy chuquito. En serio, muy muy chiquito. Puedes caminar de un lado del pueblo a otro en 15 minutos o menos. El obispo ha vivido aquí toda su vida y conoce a absolutamente todos. Él es obispo de un barrio que está como a 40 minutos-1 hora de aquí, así que por el momento no nos puede acompañar a las reuniones aquí hasta que podamos ser una rama, pero trabajamos con Él diariamente para visitar personas. Él y su familia realmente son los goats de goats. Mi compañero y yo estamos completamente solos aquí. Como dije, el barrio más cercano está a casi una hora, asi que mi compa y yo nos la tenemos que rifar solos. Estoy muy muy agradecido de estar aquí. Amo a mi ventosa, arenosa, siempre huele a estiércol, maravillosa y escogida área. Estoy tan agradecido de estar aquí y sé que pronto tendremos una placa de la iglesia para poner en nuesta casa de oración (la cochera del obispo), oficialmente haciendo este lugar una rama. 

     Esta semana pudimos ver un milagro, con 19 personas asistiendo la iglesia! Todos nos dijeron que no asisten más de 8, y cuando le dijimos al obispo, hasta Él estaba sorprendido. También, mi compañero y yo fijamos una fecha este sábado con una hermana para el fin del mes. La parte más especial para mí fue escuchar a las 19 personas cantar los himnos. Nada de piano, ni música de fondo, solo la voz cruda de 19 Santos, todos reunidos en una cochera para alabar y conmemorar a Dios. Es un sentimiento y experiencia que nunca olvidaré. Fue divertido porque los misioneros están a cargo de básicamente todo, así que también nos encargamos de la segunda hora de escuela dominical. En resumen, ha sido muy fácil para mí ver el porque el Señor me necesita aquí, así que trabajaré con 101% de mis fuerzas.

     La obra del Señor no puede ser detenida. Les amo a todos!

     👋. I hope each and every one of you is doing well, know that I am always thinking of you, and I DO READ AND APPRECIATE YOUR MESSAGES even though I may not be able to respond at times😃 The truth is, I am...GREAT. It was sad to leave Zacatlán, especially after 6 months, but honestly it was a change that was much needed. My new area is called Nativitas, in the state of Tlaxcala, although it doesn't really make sense. The area is called Nativitas because it is the largest town around here, but the house of prayer, the bishop, and us live in San José Atoyatenco. Unfortunately, my worst nightmare of living in Tlaxcala came true, but at least we are only like a 20 minute walk from Puebla. My new area is AMAZING. The goal is simple, to have 4 priesthood holders and 30 members to establish a branch. I have been able to see the hand of the Lord so much in my life since getting here. This change has rekindled a fire inside of me that was honestly burning a little bit less. We have been able to see so many miracles in the few days we have been here and I know there are still more to come.

     The key to making all of this work is Bishop Martinez. This town is very small. Seriously, very very small. You can walk from one side of town to the other in 15 minutes or less. The bishop has lived here all his life and knows absolutely everyone. He is the bishop of a ward that is about 40 minutes-1 hour from here, so he can't come with us to our services at the moment until we can be a branch, but we work with him daily to visit people. He and his family truly are the goats of goats. My comp and I are completely alone here. Like I said, the closest ward is almost an hour away, so my comp and I have to fend for ourselves. I am so very thankful to be here. I love my windy, sandy, always smells like manure, amazing area. I am so thankful to be here and I know that soon we will have a plaque from the church to put on our house of prayer (the bishop's garage), officially making this place a branch.

     This week we were able to see a miracle, with 19 people attending church! Everyone told us that no more than 8 attend, and when we told the bishop, even he was surprised. Also, my comp and I set up a baptismal date this Saturday with a sister for the end of the month. The most special part for me was hearing all 19 people sing the hymns. No piano, no background music, just the raw voice of 19 Saints, all gathered in a garage to praise and commemorate God. It is a feeling and experience that I will never forget. It was also fun because the missionaries are in charge of basically everything, so we also took care of the second hour of Sunday school. In short, it has been very easy for me to see why the Lord needs us here, so I will work with 101% of my strength.

     The Lord's work cannot be stopped. I love you all!
