Week 10 El Lanzacohetes Milagroso

     Qué pasooooo. Se siente como hace mil años que escribí un correo. Esta semana recibimos los cambios, y para mí nada cambio. Todavía estoy aquí en Zacatlán con Élder Carroll. Sin embargo, otras ciertas cosas sí han cambiado. Para empezar, ahora estamos en un trio con Élder Natale. Él ya vivía en nuestro depa así que no se siente como un cambio muy grande. Lo curioso es que heredamos su area y nos quedamos con la nuestra, así que ahora tenemos una super area que probablemente cubre como 1/8 de toda la misión. Es un poco abrumador pero somos chambeadores. También empezé a dar clases de inglés de miercoles a viernes por zoom. Voy a empezar a vender el enlace para mis clases zoom en el mercado negro y usar el dinero para comprar al pastor. Aquí venden el kilo a $320 cómo cree. Dentro del distrito, casi nada cambio excepto por la llegada de mi parcerito favorito. Élder Lozano por fín logró convencer a los de la aduana que efectivamente era azúcar, así que ya está en México y nos tocó juntos en Zacatlán. 

     El sábado, fuimos a visitar a una familia que vive a dos horasde la iglesia en Zacatlán. Habiamos dicho que iba a ser nuestra última visita, porque vive muy lejos y no estaba progresando mucho. Dimos la lección, regresamos a casa, y no pensamos mucho más al respecto. Para nuestra gran sorpresa, recibimos una llamada de ellos a las 10 pm que querian asistir la iglesia este domingo. También, ibamos a dejar de visitar una familia inactiva con los que hemos estado trabajando por 7 semanas, y para nuestra enormeeeeee sorpresa ellos también asistieron! La familia que vive a dos horas tiene un niño de 10 años que se nos acercó despues de la iglesia, y dijo que nunca ha sentido el Espíritu tan bonito como en la iglesia :) Son cosas así que nos siguen dando motivación jaja. En fin, aveces sentimos que hemos llegado a un muro de ladrillos, pero algo que me ha enseñado la misión es que cuando tenemos fe en Cristo, Él nos provee un tremendo lanzacohetes pa derrumbar esa vaina. Estoy emocionado por estas próximas 6 semanas en Zacatlán, lo único que quiero hacer es aprovechar mi tiempo en la misión. Hay que vivir de una manera que no nos deje ningún remordimiento. En las palabras de mi entrenador, "vamos a chambearrrrrrrrrr."

Dices que crees en Dios. Genial! Qué haces para demostrarlo? Si una persona viera una película sobre tu vida, hubiera algún tipo de evidencia para averiguar que crees en Él? Adoren a Dios con sus corazones, no sus labios. BUSQUENLO.

     Greetings. It feels like a thousand years since I wrote an email. This week we received the cambios, and for me nothing changed. I am still here in Zacatlán with Elder Carroll. However, certain other things have changed. For starters, we are now in a trio with Elder Natale. He already lived in our apartment so it doesn't feel like a very big change. The thing is we inherited his area and kept ours, so now we have a super area that probably covers like 1/8 of the entire mission. It's a little overwhelming but we be grinding. I also started teaching English classes from Wednesday to Friday via zoom. I'm going to start selling the link for my zoom classes on the black market and use the money to buy al pastor. They sell the kilo for $320 here, jit gotta lock in. Within the district, almost nothing changed except for the arrival of my favorite Colombian. Elder Lozano finally managed to convince the customs people that it was indeed sugar, so he's in Mexico now and we're together in Zacatlán.

     On Saturday, we went to visit a family that lives two hours away from the church in Zacatlán. We had said that it was going to be our last visit, because they live so far away and weren't making much progress. We gave the lesson, went back home, and didn't think much more about it. To our surprise, we received a call from them at 10 pm saying they wanted to attend church this Sunday. Also, we were going to stop visiting an inactive family that we have been working with for 7 weeks, and to our huge surprise they also attended! The family that lives two hours away has a 10 year old boy who came up to us after church, and said that he has never felt the Spirit so beautifully as in church :) It's things like that that keep motivating us haha. Anyways, sometimes we feel like we've hit a brick wall, but one thing the mission has taught me is that when we have faith in Christ, He provides us with a freaking rocket launcher to knock that thing down. I'm excited for these next 6 weeks in Zacatlán, the only thing I want to do is take advantage of my time on the mission. Gotta have to live in a way that leaves us with no regrets. In the words of my trainer, "let's go workkkkk" (it's funny in spanish I promise)
